Summary

George Mott is a multimedia designer and artist. Graduating from the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Visual and Critical Studies, resulted in a diversified and uniquely handled approach to art making. Much like Swiss-Army Knife there is few medium out of the question to create a final design or piece. Although strengths lie in Photography and Retouching, Painting and Illustration and Graphic Design. Previous clients include the Human Rights Campaign, NYC MTA, Immunity Health, etc.

Area Manager / Ombudsman
The Armory Show / New York, NY

The role of Area Manager entails monitoring of the entire build-out of The Armory Show, both in quality control, prioritization, problem management and dictation. I am largely responsible for ensuring a cosmetically beautiful fair presentation but additionally an accurate and meticulous representation of the blueprint. I then monitor all of deinstall, aid security and shippers into clearing out all properties in a safe and productive manner.

As an Ombudsman I liaise between show management, exhibitors, third party vendors, and contractors to create an orderly and proper channel of information and direction. I address any and all questions and issues from dealers, patrons and vendors and ensure they are dealt with through the proper measures. In ways I assist all parties in the fair to result in a successful presentation.

I handled one half of the creative department along with the Sock Designer. I also handled all media relations for press and social media. I managed any product pulls for online and print publications including, but not limited to, Vogue (Germany, US, España), Interview Magazine, and Elle Magazine. Plus any pulls for events/gala's and for celebrity public appearances.

In addition to that I ran the company's social media platforms. Which included creating and photographing original content, running contests and giveaways, and managing growth and user outreach.

Lastly, I also created all the graphic marketing content: collateral, banners, web-touts, advertisements and packages etc.
