Summary
I have a degree in Graphic Design and 30 years experience as an ACD/CD - directing and managing creative departments at J Walter Thompson, Astone Group, Pierce Promotions, Safeway and Albertsons, and Ivie, Inc. I taught a night class for two years at San Jose State University. I was also an AAF/ADDY judge for 10 years, judging regional and local creative across the country. I worked a 9-month contract with Pierce Promotions in Portland ME and New York, working on experiential projects for P&G, Kraft Foods, General Mills, Walmart, Sam’s Club, Nokia and Starbucks. My experience with Safeway and Albertsons included working with Shopper Marketing and the customer experience.

Safeway/Albertsons / Pleasanton, CA and Boise, ID
I managed one of two Safeway creative teams of 8, working with the following divisions: Proprietary brands, produce, eCommerce & grocery delivery (developed brand and launch), customer experience and seasonal programs. When Safeway was bought by Albertsons, I relocated to Boise and in addition to the accounts mentioned above, I did more Shopper Marketing programs. I was elevated to Creative Director of Albertsons' external agency, Ivie, Inc. and continued to work with my team on similar projects, including corporate work out of Ivie's head office in Texas.

In addition go my degree, throughout my career I have been involved in learning. While at JWT, I was involved in presentation and public speaking classes and creative writing classes. I have also taken classes in HTML and CSS. I also taught a night class in Concept and Layout for 2 years at San Jose State University. I have been working with Creative Suite for over 30 years and am proficient in most of the Microsoft Office programs, primarily Word and PowerPoint.
