• Social studies and health teacher with 12 years experience teaching at a diverse suburban public high school. Classes taught: AP Psychology, AP US History, AP European History, Health, US History, Psychology, & US History ELD Cohort
• Mentor for 2 years of student teachers that included lesson plan design and development, backwards planning, building classroom rapport, and assessment strategies. Also mentored a cohort of National Board applicants through bimonthly meetings that resulted in a 100% pass rate.
• Created assessments and engaging curriculum that insured over 80% pass rate AP exam in an open- enrollment course; differentiated instruction for ELD students that increased passing rates.
• Professional Growth with annual attendance to AP, AVID, and a wide variety of other conferences and workshops to refine my teaching expertise.
