In 2020, Dr. Giordano introduced a port-access approach for aortic valve replacement through a mini right anterior thoracotomy, making his institution the first in Scotland to adopt this technique. He has been involved in the national TAVI program since 2012, helping develop surgical access methods and leading the department's Quality Improvement Programme, which includes creating new protocols and conducting audits.
Dr. Vincenzo has introduced the Frozen Elephant Trunk (FET) procedure to Scotland, having performed over 70 such surgeries. He is committed to training the next generation of surgeons and regularly participates in workshops and conferences.
