Dr. Seth A. Eidemiller is a board-certified emergency physician whose career began on a fourth-generation dairy farm in Idaho. Growing up in a farming environment, he learned the value of hard work and adaptability at an early age. He gained practical experience through jobs in wildfire suppression and construction, building skills that helped shape his approach to challenges. He pursued undergraduate degrees in International Studies and Spanish and later returned to Boise to complete his medical school prerequisites and laboratory sciences. After earning his medical degree from the University of Nevada, Reno, he completed his residency in emergency medicine in Fresno. He now serves as Vice Chair of the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group.
He holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Idaho and expanded his academic background at Boise State University, working as a lab instructor and manager. He spent three years involved in biomedical research focused on systems biology and human health, which further developed his critical thinking and attention to detail.
Before beginning his medical career, he worked as a wildland firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service, gaining experience in carpentry and electrical systems. His time in restaurant work also taught him how to multitask, manage customer needs, and respond efficiently under pressure, skills that later benefitted his medical practice.
He started medical school at the University of Nevada, Reno, in 2012 and graduated in 2016. His emergency medicine residency at UCSF-Fresno provided comprehensive training in airway management, resuscitation, line placement, and bedside ultrasound. Working in a busy emergency department, he treated trauma, sepsis, cardiac arrest, stroke, respiratory failure, and psychiatric emergencies, as well as chronic conditions.
After residency, he worked at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, treating a wide range of emergency cases. In 2020, he joined the Chico Emergency Medicine Physician Group, and in 2024, he became Vice Chair. In this leadership role, he manages scheduling, logistics, staff support, and quality initiatives while also continuing to work clinically. He maintains his connection to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno through moonlighting shifts.
Fluent in Spanish, he is board-certified and holds all necessary California credentials. Dr. Seth Eidemiller volunteers in his community, enjoys cycling, cooking, and home projects, and remains dedicated to patient care and growth. Dr. Seth continues to serve with reliability and purpose.
