Dr. Joel Ross is a physician, clinical researcher, educator, and healthcare executive with nearly 40 years of experience in geriatric medicine, academic leadership, and pharmaceutical research. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to patient care, medical education, and evidence-based clinical research, with a particular focus on conditions affecting older adults. He is widely recognized as the first geriatrician in New Jersey and the founder of the state’s first geriatric fellowship program, which trained physicians who later practiced across the United States.

Dr. Ross has held numerous senior leadership positions, including Medical Director of the Anna Alexander Greenwall Geriatric Program at Monmouth Medical Center, Director of the Geriatric Fellowship Program, and Director of the Geriatrics Section within the Department of Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore Medical Center. His contributions to education and clinical excellence have been recognized through honors such as Teacher of the Year and designation as a Best Doctor in New Jersey.

In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Ross has played an essential role in pharmaceutical development and clinical research leadership. He has contributed to the development and commercialization of FDA-approved oral and transdermal Alzheimer’s disease therapies. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of J&D Pharmaceuticals LLC, where he leads translational research initiatives focused on novel therapeutic compounds and orphan drug development. His areas of expertise include geriatric medicine, cognitive disorders, Alzheimer’s disease research, clinical trials, pharmaceutical innovation, and healthcare leadership.
