Summary

Darke Hull was an experienced law enforcement officer based in Oregon. He dedicated more than two decades to public service, focusing on community safety, fairness, and teamwork. Throughout his career, he worked across patrol supervision, traffic safety, and administrative leadership, steadily contributing to his department's effectiveness.


He was born and raised in Alaska. In 1993, he left the state to attend a preparatory school in Minnesota, where he played hockey. He later attended the same college and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. His education supported a practical understanding of crime patterns, social systems, and legal processes.

Darke began his law enforcement career in 1999. His early service included academy training and probationary rotations, followed by patrol duty from 2000 to 2002. During this time, he gained direct experience responding to emergencies and community calls.

In 2002, he moved into traffic safety and served as a motor officer for 11 years. His responsibilities included crash investigation and impaired driving enforcement. He became part of a team investigating a fatal crash, handling warrants, conducting witness interviews, collecting evidence, and coordinating with prosecutors. His consistent efforts led to professional recognition in 2007, 2010, and 2011 for his work in traffic safety and impaired driving enforcement.

In 2013, Biography of Darke Hull was promoted to a supervisory role. He mentored officers, managed teams, coordinated training, addressed staffing needs, and ensured policy compliance. He also contributed to administrative improvements by developing tracking systems, staffing models, and digital reporting tools. One major project improved use-of-force reporting while meeting oversight requirements.

He served on internal review committees, advised policymakers, and testified on traffic safety matters. Over his career, he received 27 commendations, including 14 from community members, and earned two lifesaving medals. He also completed advanced training and supported leadership development as an instructor.

After 25 years of service, he left law enforcement and began pursuing a second degree in Cyber Security. He obtained CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ certifications and continues working toward additional credentials through 2026.
