• Serve as Trainer Property and Evidence Specialist, assist in establishing and maintaining policy and procedures in booking and storing criminal evidence and property.

Due to previous extensive law enforcement background, recruited and on-boarded with national non-profit post-secondary college to instruct Criminal Justice program students in basic constitutional law, patrol procedures, juvenile systems, law enforcement, corrections, ethics and security.

• Skillfully created a positive and constructive learning environment through effectual lesson planning and delivery of interesting and informative instructional materials that met each students’ needs, interests and learning abilities; timely evaluated each student’s progress and accomplishments.

Liaised with college’s Criminal Justice program advisory committee members to ensure all instructional materials met most recent relevant industry standards, cultivated prospective employers for student internships.

Onboarded as Police Officer in 1979 and advanced through the ranks to Police Commander to direct Patrol, Investigations, Communications and Emergency Services.

As a Commander of Investigative Services managed property and evidence function as a portion of the crime laboratory including a yearly audit of the property and evidence, budgeting, purchasing and policy and procedure updating.

Performed variety of complex administrative, supervisory and professional work in planning, coordinating and directing the law enforcement activities of the department, with an emphasis on investigations and patrol.

Planned and directed implementation of the department's short and long-term budgets and established operational standards.

Served as Emergency Manager for the City including the administration of the City’s Continuity of Operations. Proficient in the Incident Command System used for the command, control, and coordination of an emergency response.

Conducted and managed varied criminal and internal investigation activities involving search and arrest warrants, civil demands for evidence, filing criminal charges with local and state prosecutors and presenting courtroom testimony. Regularly conducted interview and integrations along with physical and video surveillance of suspects.

Actively served as municipality’s Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO), Advisory Board Member for Cherry Creek Schools Criminal Justice Vocational Education and Arapahoe Community College Police Academy. Supervised police operations for 18,000-seat Amphitheater.

Undertook assignment as Supervisor of School Resource Officers to manage seven SRO’s within five campuses, including the state’s largest open campus high school, channeling all juvenile cases within city through SRO division for investigative follow-up. Served as liaison with School District on law enforcement and safety matters.
