Summary
Accomplished and results-driven leader with over a decade of experience in federal service leading security and emergency management programs at the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Now seeking a new opportunity to apply technical, management, and leadership skills to shape a corporate security and crisis management program. Currently leading homeland security and interagency programs for the National Exercise Program at FEMA, managing a multimillion-dollar effort to deliver exercises that examine our national capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risks to the security of the nation (including exercises for the White House and the biennial National Level Exercise). Prior to joining FEMA, led the emergency management program for all U.S. Attorneys’ offices nationwide, comprised of over 500 offices in 280 cities.
Master’s degree in U.S. national security policy from the Security Studies Program in the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University; law degree from George Mason University School of Law, with a concentration in homeland and national security law and service as the Editor-in-Chief of the National Security Law Journal; and Certificate in Public Leadership from Brookings Executive Education, a partnership of the Brookings Institution and Washington University in St. Louis. Recognized as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) by the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).

Lead implementation of the National Exercise Program (NEP), which conducts exercises in support of federal, state, local, regional, tribal, and territorial partners to validate our national capabilities to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risks to the security of the nation. Manage Senior Officials Exercises for the National Security Council at the White House and the biennial National Level Exercise (formerly called "TOPOFF" or Capstone exercises). Lead the DHS Exercise and Evaluation Program, the Department-level exercise program for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that coordinates exercise activities across all component agencies and includes an exercise series for the Secretary and other senior leadership to ensure the Department is ready to execute its critical missions.
