Appointed by Mayor Bloomberg turn-around the New york City's array of media assets in 2002, Arick Wierson became the co-founder, General Manager and later Group President of NYC Media Group, which evolved into the largest local media group in the New York market with holdings including the six broadcast and cable stations of the NYC TV Station Group, 91.5 FM Radio New York, Skyscraper Syndication, NYC TV Original Productions, and NYC TV On-Demand, Taxi TV among others. While at the helm of NYC TV, Wierson led the station to a record 160 Emmy nominations and 44 Emmy Awards.
