Summary

Alicia Jaramillo received a BS in Art History and Museum Professions and an AAS in Textile/Surface Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Prior to FIT, she earned an AAS in photography, working as a studio assistant and head printer for several years. Alicia has worked for artist Robert Gober as a research assistant on the exhibition Forrest Bess: Seeing Things Invisible and has recently completed her MA in Fashion and Textile History with a concentration in textile conservation at FIT.

The Ralph Lauren Library is a private collection of the corporation’s inspiration and historical product including clothing, accessories, business records, works on paper, books, periodicals, photography, and film.

• Assist in document and object preparation for the 2018 Showroom and Rare Vintage assets.

• Participated in facets of digital asset management, which included preparing objects with encoding labels and ID tags in the proprietary system.

The Hispanic Society of America is a library and museum that collects, preserves, and exhibits works directly related to the arts, literature, and history of the countries wherein Spanish and Portuguese are or have been predominant spoken languages.

•Photographed objects, created condition reports and updated records for the HSA collection.

•Performed minor solvent cleaning on objects for the upcoming exhibition Tesoros de la Hispanic Society of America at the Prado Museum in Spain.

• Vacuum cleaned several pieces of antique Spanish laces and assisted in construction of an archival storage system to house a pair of fifteenth century Moorish doors; materials included hot melt techniques on Volara® and polyethylene foam.
