  • Slashed cost of quality from 1% to 0.25% Scrap/Sales. Reduce 12Mo Warranty IPTV from 1.5 to 0.3.

Position: Supplier Quality & Development Senior Manager (Head of Russia and CIS). Report to Region SQ Director and Country Purchasing Director.

Objective: Setup new SQ organization and increase the localization content to meet country regulations.

Responsibility: Steered three organizations in two joint ventures and one fully owned plant. Completed SQ Program Management for parts sourced in the region. Enhanced supplier operations to support localization costs. Utilized GM Core tools APQP, PPAP, QSB, SPC, FMEA, SQIP, R@R, etc. Achievements:

  • Set up new SQ organization from scratch.
  • Increased localization from 6% to 35%, reduce PPM’s to single digit.
  • Spearheaded GM Red X (Problem solving) Strategy in Russia for all functions and plants.

Responsibility: Directed a cross-functional team of 80 Engineers responsible for 350 supplier locations in four different countries, with total purchase value in production of $2B. Brought local suppliers in line with international standards. Enhanced regional capacity to achieve improved results with leaner organization. Led SQ Launch in Asia for GF-6 Program and Gen 3 Engine. Achievements:

  • Slashed Country supplier PPM from four digits to single digit.
  • Exceeded corporate SQ&D goals in all areas and delivered $MM savings.
