Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5-mile tri-oval racetrack that occupies more than 1,300 acres. The property also includes Route 66 Raceway’s state-of-the-art ¼ mile drag strip and ½ mile dirt track, making Joliet’s world-class motorsports complex Illinois’ largest sporting facility. Chicagoland Speedway hosts the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards, as well as non-motorsports events, endurance running events, and more. Route 66 Raceway hosts numerous races and events throughout the year, along with the featured NHRA Nationals.
Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway are wholly owned subsidiaries of International Speedway Corporation (ISC), a world leader in Motorsports Entertainment. ISC owns and operates Thirteen (13) premier properties throughout the U.S., along with MRN Radio, Official Radio Network and “The Voice of NASCAR”.
Position Purpose
The primary responsibilities of this position will be to drive new business revenue by utilizing Chicagoland Speedway & Route 66 Raceway’s vast collection of marketing and advertising assets to secure sponsorship, corporate hospitality, and new forms of revenue. This position also has the ability to drive revenue by selling assets at all other ISC tracks, not only CLS and R66.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
The Director of Partnership Sales will be responsible for achieving targeted corporate partnership sales goals thru prospecting (networking and cold-calling), presenting, and closing new partnership agreements. Examples of partnership platforms include Event Entitlement, Official Partner, Promotional Rights and On-Site Experiential Marketing:
• Prospecting: Identify and research new business and marketing partners. Contact decision makers within each organization
• Presenting: Create compelling presentations and lead new business/renewal pitches to prospective partners during meetings, potentially in a Boardroom setting, and/or during telephone calls.
• Closing: Negotiate and finalize sponsorship agreements that maximize revenue for the Speedway and Raceway
• Comply with companywide CRM tool for revenue reporting purposes. Meet or exceed weekly/month/yearly corporate revenue and prospecting goals
• Maintain high level of customer service to existing and new corporate clients
• Active participation in regional civic, social, and chamber events
• Accountability for renewal, growth, and management of accounts
• Develop new and innovative integrated platforms for prospect businesses to secure, assisting in the advancement of sales efforts
• Assist in new business development efforts by pitching and securing facility rentals for motorsports, or non-motorsports, related entertainment events
• Perform assigned event responsibilities during all major event weekends
Qualifications
• 4-year college degree from accredited College or University
• 8+ years of property, team, media, and/or sports/entertainment sales experience
• Ability to form strong relationships with key decision-makers at agencies, businesses, and organizations
• Strong existing relationships with decision makers at brands and agencies in the Midwest and Chicago markets
• Driven by success and possess a “must-win” mentality
• Computer knowledge (MS Word, Excel, Internet, CRM Tools, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to work flexible hours including events on nights and weekends
• Excellent communication and time management skills with friendly and professional demeanor
• Must demonstrate flexible and creative problem solving skills
• Ability to handle a large volume of cold calling and prospecting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to work well in a team environment interacting with multiple departments
• Must possess a positive attitude, professionalism, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic.
• Must be able and willing to travel as needed for meetings
