The Department of Athleticsat Messiah College has an immediate opening for the position of Assistant Director of Athletics for Compliance and Internal Operations.
Responsibilities: This full-time position is responsible for the monitoring of the day-to-day operations of Messiah's NCAA intercollegiate sport programs, overseeing critical operational aspects of NCAA Division III compliance, and the marketing/game-day promotions within intercollegiate athletics. This position also serves as a role model in meeting our complimentary goals of “Pursuing Athletic Excellence and Developing Christian Character.”
Qualifications:Master's Degree (preferred fields of study include Athletic Administration and/or Sport Management) and a minimum of two years of experience in athletics administration.
Skills and Characteristics: Ability to administer aspects of NCAA Division III compliance (e.g., eligibility, rules test, transfer regulations, playing and practice seasons, medical hardships, sports safety training, recruiting); demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the stages of student development and the importance of holistic education; and exhibit a commitment to continued learning/professional development (e.g., presentations, publications, serving on regional and/or national committees).
