The Mid-American Conference is accepting applications and nominations for the position of Director of Digital Media Services.
The individual selected will report to the Assistant Commissioner for Social & Digital Media.
Responsibilities:
1.Creating video content that drives views, conversations, fan engagement/interactions, attention to the Mid-American Conference website, social media platforms in a timely manner.
2.Create an overall progressive/advanced message on the MAC.
3.Oversee all video content created for the MAC website/social media platforms and conference events.
4.Main contact for campus video coordinators/communication department video.
5.Produce a monthly calendar of videos that will be created for GetSomeMACtion.com, social platforms & Championships.
6.Create content that institutions/alumni/fans can’t get anywhere else that create conversation/engagement.
7.Build motion graphics consistent to the look and feel of the “MAC Digital Network”.
8.Generate video content for video boards for all MAC Championship events.
9.Conference liaison for ESPN3/ESPN+ Campus Productions & other MAC television initiatives.
10.Oversee day-to-day media relation for Women’s Soccer, Gymnastics & Softball. Includes overseeing reporting, statistics, press releases, player of the week, postseason voting, and staffing regular season & post-season events as necessary.
11.Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree required. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, etc.).
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have demonstrated initiative and collaboration with various constituents.
Must be proficient with technology, creative in providing solutions to complex and sensitive issues, and can work independently and in a team setting to efficiently meet established goals and deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in content planning, creation, and distribution.
