Intercollegiate Athletics – Assistant Athletic Director
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at the State University of New York at Oswego invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director. This is a full-time, twelve-month staff position with benefits.

Date of Appointment: On/around July 1, 2018
Description of Responsibilities: Will be responsible for game management, on-campus marketing and promotions, and serve as facilities director for the athletic department.
Responsibilities will also include:
• Planning, organizing, and executing game management responsibilities for all home contests.
• Hiring, scheduling, and supervising paid event management personnel at hockey and basketball games; coordinating team game management staff for all other sports.
• Planning, developing, coordinating and performing marketing and promotional activities for Oswego athletic contests.
• Overseeing all facets of facility management with both internal and external constituents.
• Supervising assigned varsity teams and student interns.
• Serving as part of the department management team.
• Other duties as assigned.
In addition, will be expected to display a commitment to undergraduate and/or graduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students and colleagues.
Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1-3 years collegiate athletic administrative experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with a diverse group of organizations across campus
• Commitment to student-athlete success and to a competitive Division III Athletics program.
Preferred qualifications
• Master's degree

Description of Department:The Oswego State athletics department sponsors 24 intercollegiate varsity sports as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC).
