Camp Skylemar is in search of a well-qualified and experienced Lacrosse Director, from mid-June through mid-August.
Skylemar, located in southern Maine, offers top-notch instruction and enjoyment in land and water sports, for 170 boys, ages 7-16. The 200 acre setting is spectacular, overlooking the White Mountains and a crystal clear lake.
We are in search of a Lacrosse Director who:
• Is a teacher, grad student, coach or recent graduate, with experience coaching lacrosse.
• Shares our belief that nothing is more important than safety.
• Is comfortable teaching all levels, from novice to the competitive.
• Can train, motivate and supervise a staff of 5 collegiate lacrosse players.
We seek a smart, fun, safe and positive leader, who will inspire kids and staff members to love lacrosse. Lacrosse director will also coach Skylemar teams at various age levels that play against other camps. Lacrosse director will also run tournaments and referee games. As an accredited camp, the Lacrosse Director will adhere to high standards established by the directors of Skylemar and the American Camping Association. Also, as a member of our Senior Staff, you'll be an integral part of camp management overall.
Known for our outstanding staff and attention to the individual child, Skylemar is a fantastic place to work. Dates: June 9-August 15. About Camp Skylemar
Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in the Lakes Region of southern Maine. Enrollment is limited to 200 boys from across the country as well as abroad, who attend for 7 weeks. The program features land and water athletics (soccer, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, golf, hockey, basketball, football, archery, swimming, water-skiing, wake-surfing, wake-boarding, sailing, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding etc.) as well as outdoor oriented activities (hiking, camping, ropes & challenge course, outdoor education, backpacking, climbing, campcraft). Non-athletic activities include cooking, drama, arts, graphic design, woodworking, crafts, photography, science, tutoring, video, radio & sports broadcasting.
