Southeastern Louisiana University is now accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Compliance. This position will report directly to the Assistant to the President for Athletics Compliance. This full time position will be responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Southland Conference, and Southeastern Louisiana University policies and procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the management of daily operations of the Athletics Compliance Office Assist with initial and continuing eligibility certification Assist in administration of Compliance Assistant (CA) software and submitting waivers through RSRO Administer and track all requirements for Official and Unofficial Visits Monitor rules compliance in the areas of recruiting, amateurism, camps and clinics and playing and practice season regulations Assist in developing a comprehensive and continuing rules education program
Provide NCAA and Southland rules interpretations to coaches and other institutional staff members Review complimentary tickets provided to student-athletes and guests Serve as liaison to Records, Enrollment Services, Admissions, Housing and other institutional departments Certify general eligibility for walk-on student-athletes
Provide game administration duties in various sports Assist in other duties, as assigned
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution; Master’s degree or Juris Doctorate preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant compliance experience
• Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
• Experience with online compliance software – ACS and NCAA applications preferred
• Ability to organize, multi-task and maintain confidentiality and integrity in the daily work place
