UCF Athletics at the University of Central Florida, an NCAA Division I institution and American Athletic Conference (The American) member, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of Communications.
Under the direction of the Associate A.D., Strategic Communications, the selected candidate assists in the day-to-day management of the Athletics Communications department within UCF, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; planning and implementing communications strategies for assigned sports; travel and game day operations; promoting UCF Athletics through a targeted public and community relations effort; supporting marketing initiatives; and maintaining the website, UCFKnights.com.
Minimum qualifications:
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two (2) years of appropriate experience. Prefer communications / sports information experience at the collegiate level or higher. Prefer high level of StatCrew, CMS, and HTML knowledge. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite required, as well as strong communication, organization, writing, editing, video experience and social media skills preferred. As a UCF Athletics staff member, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the UCF Athletics program.
