Texas Tech Athletics is seeking qualified applicants to serve in the Red Raider Club as the Assistant Athletics Director of the Annual Fund. Please see the information below for more details about the position and how to apply.
Position Description:
Assists in providing leadership and direction for an assigned area within the athletic department. Responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of the department. Responsible for employees in the assigned area.
Major/Essential Functions:
• Day to Day Management of Red Raider Club Annual Fund.
• Manage and Prepare foundational processes associated with the Red Raider Club Excellence Fund and Donor Based Seating, including Associated Advantage and Paciolan Set-up Communication between the Red Raider Club and Athletics Ticket Office. Supervise collection materials and timelines. Ensure maximum customer services, membership growth, retention, and collection.
• Execute, Direct and Manage all aspects of the Red Raider Club Annual Fund. Meet Regularly w/ Associate AD regarding the annual fund Implementation of Operation Plan for Athletics Fundraising / Annual Giving, including: Membership growth (Participation) Revenue Growth (Financial Giving) Membership chart benefits Premium Seating Annual Giving Budget Annual Giving Staff Management. Provide Reporting for Quarterly Strategic updates related to the Annual Fund Present Annual Fund portion of Annual Athletic Fundraising Retreat.
• Maintain current donor records (contact reports, proposals and next steps) on the shared server. Work closely with Institutional Advancement on all aspects of the annual fund including mass solicitation and leadership annual giving strategies. Submit appropriate documentation for review and submission in the Advance database along with any other necessary Institutional Advancement communication. Collaborate with the Athletics Fundraising team in monthly Prospect Meetings.
• Manage a gift portfolio of 50 – 75 active prospects and 25 - 35 stewardship accounts. Make 60 or more personal visits per year.
• Appear and participate at multiple TTU sporting events, including all home football games, all other sporting events as assigned so that Red Raider Club staff has comprehensive event coverage, as business travel allows.
• Develop and Coordinate Mass Communication plan including Mass Emails, Red Raider Sports Magazine, Giving Guide Solicitation, and other Collection Communication. Comply with all NCAA, Big 12 and Texas Tech University rules, regulations and policies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three (3) years experience in an intercollegiate athletics department or other work experience that would demonstrate the necessary background and knowledge. Must have a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Sports Administration or related field, plus (3-5) years related experience.
