Mayville State University is seeking an Athletic Director. This is a full-time position with full benefits. The Athletic Director will be responsible for leadership, strategic planning and management of athletic programs and operations. The director will establish effective communications with students, employees, alumni and the community.
Minimum qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in sport management, physical education or related field
• 5 years progressively responsible related work experience
• Evidence of organizational, managerial and communication skills
• Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics and the relationship between academics and athletics
• Supports the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or other database software
Preferred qualifications:
• Master’s degree in sport management or related field
• An understanding and experience with budget development and management within athletics
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations, including FERPA and athletic eligibility
• An understanding of Title IX compliance
• Demonstration of strategic leadership characteristics
• Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment
• Experience with foundations and fundraising to support athletic programs
