The University of New Mexico Athletics Department is accepting applications for the Assistant/Associate Athletic Director for Marketing. This position will report to the Deputy Athletic Director, External Operations, and be a member of the leadership team. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coordinate season ticket campaigns and single game sales including developing media plan to include the design of ticket print materials, television and radio spots. This position will supervise all in-game promotions including planning, design, and execution of marketing plans to enhance game-day atmosphere. Also this position will develop and implement strategies to increase student participation at athletic events
This position will have oversight of the UNM Spirit Program and will work very closely with Lobo Sports Properties, Event management, Lobo Club, Facilities and the Ticket office.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 7 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifcations:
• Advanced degree in relevant field
• 5 years directly working with sports marketing and revenue generation; exact title will be based on qualifications
• Must have excellent communication skills to work with a diverse work population including students, staff, faculty and external partners
