POSITION SUMMARY: Support sporting events sponsored by Gopher Athletics, including, but not limited to: football operations, and women’s basketball operations. Provide ticketing system support to Systems Analyst.
SALES OPERATIONS (35% of job): Assist with creation of products sold through AudienceView, which includes but not limited to: season tickets, single game tickets, event registration, memberships, donations, multi-product packages and specialty items.
• Create and manage all ancillary events in which the AudienceView software is used
• Create and maintain event/product creation and event/product testing manuals for all events, products and memberships assigned to this position
• Manage Gopher Score priority processes
• Assist with business intelligence creation and scheduling
• Create and implement renewals for all memberships in AudienceView, which include M-Club, Kid’s Club and Golden Gopher Fund,
RESPONSIBILITIES (65% of job):
• Responsible for large-scale events. Liaison to event manager, responsible for all internal ticket sales, communication and customer service at events.
• Manage all fan and donor engagement events
• Responsible for renewal communication and invoicing for all annual memberships
• Manage season ticket invoicing process
• Create and manage fundraising campaigns, which includes set-up, testing and implementation
• Create and schedule reports based on each stakeholders needs
• Organize and manage premium seating contracts, real estate approvals and certificates of insurance
• Create and invoice all suite, loge box and Indoor Club orders on an annual basis
• Manage Right of First Refusal process for our suite and loge box customers
• Main contact with organization or promoter for premium inventory sales and operations
• Liaison with sales staff for suite and loge box inventory
• Create and manage all reporting for premium seating
• Work with event staff for game day staff and customer service programs
• Perform weekly updates on mygophersports.com with relevant information
• Build and send all informational emails from the sales and service department to Gopher fans
• Women’s Basketball Responsibilities – including, but not limited to:
1. Allocate all player guest and student manager tickets
2. Premium ticket packaging for pickup party and shipment of tickets
3. Manage tickets for player and coaches guest on away games
4. Act as ticket manager for sport and oversee gameday operations
• Football Responsibilities – including, but not limited to:
1. Assist in football ticket operations management duties, as assigned by Director of Ticket Operations
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Ticket Operations
DESIRED OUTCOMES:
• Ensure all internal and external ticketing needs are met in a timely manner
• Create renewal timeline for all Gopher Athletics
• Write and communicate at a high level. Emails, letters and all other correspondence should be grammatically sound and free from errors.
• Represent the University of Minnesota in a positive manner both on and off duty
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Must meet the following minimum requirements
• Bachelor Degree from accredited University and
• Two (2) years of college athletics or professional sports customer service, sales or operations experience or
• a combination of related education and work experience to equal six (6) years
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Innovative and enthusiastic – able to think outside the box
• Proven ability to meet deadlines
• Experience with AudienceView or similar ticketing system
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service background
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including nights and weekends
WORK SCHEDULE:
• Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5pm
• Special game day duties may require weekend work and/or evening scheduling
• Away game travel may be required
