This position is a part of the Counter Logic Gaming Organization (CLG ESPORTS LLC). Counter Logic Gaming (CLG) is a premier North American esports organization known for its passionate fan base and winning culture. Responsibilities:
The Director of Finance position is the lead finance role for Counter Logic Gaming (CLG). This role is responsible for all financial matters associated with CLG including accounting, financial planning and managing treasury and cash flow.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Bank Reconciliation, Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
• Preparation of annual budget / long-term plan and other financial forecasts, as well as tracking reports including explanation of variances
• Provide timely analyses of results and perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Ad hoc analysis of labor and staffing, other expenses, merchandise, and other revenue
• Prepare and publish timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage treasury and cash flow
• Direct the annual company audit process and any interim internal or external audits
• Ensure financial transactions and financial reporting are prepared in accordance with GAAP and company policies
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Supervise part-time staff as needed
• Additional controller duties include:
◦ Payroll
◦ Purchasing
◦ Insurance
◦ H/R Reporting and Benefits
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience running all aspects of the finance group of a small business---needs to be proficient in QuickBooks or a similar financial accounting system.
• Additional experience in running the finance function of a small company, should include:
◦ Monthly reporting and adhering to a book close calendar/schedule
◦ Running accounts payable/check disbursements
◦ Working with a billing and accounts receivable system
◦ Running Payroll
◦ Being able to use other modules of financial reporting systems, such as fixed assets
• Must have knowledge of US GAAP and related accounting and financial reporting concepts
• knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 rules including the documentation of steps performed for key controls, including management review controls
• Understanding of risk assessments, segregation of duties, and an appropriate approval/control process Education:
• Accounting or Finance Degree is Required
• MBA or CPA License Preferred (or working towards CPA)
Education:
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
