Responsibilities:
The Director, Local Media Sales, MSG Media is responsible for maximizing sales of all MSG Media assets through locally based ad agencies and clients. He/she will open new accounts, develop new business from existing ones and maximize market share on all transactional media spending. Further, the Director, Local Media Sales, MSG Media must nurture existing decision-maker relationships with all valued agencies and clients within the New York Metro area and will be accountable for driving revenue against key accounts. The Director, Local Media Sales must have demonstrated experience and success working within a sales team.
The Director, Local Media Sales will be a specialist in market analysis/conditions as well as an active participant in the formulation of weekly and quarterly forecasting that is accurate, reliable and up to date. This position will also assume responsibility for tracking, reporting and oversight of sellable programming outside of MSG Media’s live sports programming. It will aid in implementing the larger media sales strategy as stated by upper management to establish the premiere media sales force in the country and overachieve budgetary goals.
He/she must also be a superior sales executive, project manager and be able to effectively gain the support of groups across MSG Media and the larger MSG organization including MSG Sports and MSG Entertainment.

7. Extensive knowledge of the marketing and advertising industries with a particular focus on the sports and entertainment industry
8. Extensive knowledge of the National sports and entertainment marketplace
9. Ability to build a deep rolodex
10. Successful track selling to agencies and clients
Education:
Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
