Job Purpose:
This position supports the Associate Athletic Director of Facilities, Operations, and Events with overall oversight and leadership in the areas of event operations and athletic facilities. This position also has primary ownership of key areas including game management of football, external events management, and select facilities. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. Major Responsibilities: Support Associate Athletic Director with oversight for all event management operations. Serve as primary event manager for Football, provide oversight and assistance for other team members as needed. Manage building scheduling and maintenance for the Arthur B. Edge Jr. Athletics Center, Homer Rice Center, and Howard Candler, Jr. Football Center. Oversee the overall event operations budget and the budget for assigned facilities, submit purchase requisitions, and coordinate event staff payments. Manage all NCAA and ACC championships hosted by GT Athletics. Oversee special events and rentals, including working events as assigned. Perform other related duties as assigned. Additional Information: Ability to work outside typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evening, weekends, and holidays. Basic Qualifications:
• Education:Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Work Experience:Three to five years of progressive job related experience.
• Certifications:N/A
• Skills:This job requires previous work experience in a university environment, advanced knowledge of office related computer applications; excellent interpersonal skills; excellent skills in organization, management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, facilitating change, and customer service.
