Louisiana Tech University, a Division 1 member of Conference USA, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance Services. This is a full-time, 12-month position. Bachelor’s degree is required; J.D. or Master’s Degree is preferred. Two years of experience in NCAA athletics compliance in a university or conference office is required; three plus years is preferred. Excellent written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, working knowledge of NCAA programs, knowledge and experience with LSDBi and RSRO are required, and experience with ACS recruiting and compliance software is preferred.The position works closely with the Deputy Athletics Director to develop, implement and maintain a program which protects the integrity of Louisiana Tech University through compliance with NCAA, Conference USA and University regulations by student-athletes, coaches, administrative staff, and representatives of the University’s athletics interests.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: administer a comprehensive educational compliance program for all coaches, student-athletes, administrative staff, and representatives of the University’s athletic interests; oversee all recruiting activities and monitoring systems; ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations governing financial aid to student-athletes by working cooperatively with the Director of Student Financial Aid in monitoring all financial aid awarded to student-athletes; ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations governing playing and practice seasons and student-athlete time management plans; develop and maintain the compliance website; implement and administer the institutional camp and clinic monitoring program. This position will also assist the Deputy Athletics Director with other duties as requested.
