The University of Texas at San Antonio Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking a well-qualified individual for our Associate or Senior Associate Athletics Director for Marketing, Broadcast and Community Relations.
Job duties include:
1. Develop and implement a dynamic, department wide, marketing and promotions strategy incorporating all sports and units.
2. Create and administer promotional activities directed at increasing attendance at all events including competitions, championships and donor events as well as increasing student engagement.
3. Oversee videography unit, webcast filmers and, working with the conference, develop ESPN Tier 3 production platform.
4. Provide quality assurance of all marketing scripts and run of show for competition events.
5. Manage licensing and brand management standards to include graphics, apparel contracts, signage, collateral, photography and video.
6. Work with corporate sponsors on national, local and conference level.
7. Collaborate with external partners to solidify joint ventures that can enhance department goals and visions.
8. Partner with ticket operations to enhance ticket sales campaign, process, outreach, data collection and overall production.
9. Direct the advertising and promotions of radio, broadcast and video productions; develop radio advertising with individual radio and television stations; coordinate the production of individual corporate sponsor radio advertisements.
10. Solicit corporate sponsors, trade-outs and gifts in kind.
11. Supervise staff, maintain schedules, administer performance evaluations and associated duties.
12. Manage annual budget for assigned units to include Marketing.
13. May supervise sports team.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in Business or Marketing or Sports Administration.
Experience and Other Skills Required
5 years experience in a collegiate or corporate marketing, promotions, or community relations environment.
Preferred Experience and Other Skills:
10 years experience in a collegiate or corporate marketing, promotions, or community relations environment.
Experience with intercollegiate athletics.
Experience with ticket operations and ticket sales.
Experience in facilities renovation, planning and/or build out of broadcast control room.
Proven creativity and problem solving.
Ability to operate TriCaster.
Experience using InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite and/or Cinema 4-D.
