The Marketing Director’s primary responsibility is to partner and collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to understand their strategic drivers, key objectives, business needs and priorities. The Marketing Director will have ownership of the department’s planning, processes, infrastructure, research and analysis, performance management, brand ownership and budget.
The successful candidate will have the necessary leadership skills and strategic thinking to develop a high performing Marketing organization focused on operational excellence, brand development, digital marketing governance and accountability. This position will be reporting to VP of Sales & Marketing.
Primary objectives include:
• Overseeing design and brand management for B2B and B2C brands represented within the Events and Technology Division in compliance with Division and Corporate standards and guidelines
• Managing internal and external resources for digital marketing initiatives including web, social channels, SEO, paid digital and marketing automation
• Driving a highly efficient marketing infrastructure that can support a growing, globalized, multi-channel business.
Primary Responsibilities
• Responsible for the effective management and execution of strategic initiatives and overall activities including brand development, paid digital campaigns, web, social channels and marketing automation.
• Interacts regularly with Marketing Directors to ensure the department is achieving planned results in programs, budgets, and schedules.
• Owns and manages marketing processes, tools and technology to support marketing functions.
• Develops business processes and workflows to maximize organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develops Marketing KPI’s, standardized operational reports and dashboards to provide visibility into the business, lead-to-sales conversion rates, campaign ROI, pipeline contribution, trends and other business intelligence.
• Manages departmental budgeting, forecasting and operational activities
• Locates additional resources and manages outside support
• Oversees marketing automation budget, progression and outside resource management
• Provides brand direction and governance for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Marketing or related field and 10+ years prior Direct to Consumer and Business to Business marketing experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing, demand generation, customer acquisition, and/or analytics, to include 5+ years in managerial or leadership roles for a global organization
• Strong understanding of marketing functions and operations from the ground level.
• Ability to help align strategic initiatives into cohesive execution plans.
• Prior experience interfacing with other business leaders in finance, sales, and marketing.
• Entrepreneurial can-do attitude to find ways to break down potential barriers to consistent and predictable growth
• Demonstrated positive energy to effectively manage cross-functional teams and represent brand both internally and externally
• Strong skills and experience with diagnosing and resolving complex problems and opportunities
• Familiarity with leading/supporting brand development planning, innovation and creative ideation processes
• Strong analytical, decision making, influence, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and complete projects within required timeframes
• Highly capable of writing/evaluating initiative and communications briefs
• Able to make tough, informed decisions quickly to keep performance on track
• Experience supporting organizational change
Physical / Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
• Work is performed in an office setting. This position is required to regularly:
• Interact with media outlets, event ops managers, sales team members, other internal team members, athletes, and new athlete populations
• Effectively communicate and interact with others
• Use reasoning and solve problems through deduction
• Select early morning, late night and weekend availability is required, especially during key event weekends for Life Time and partner events
• Work full-time from Life Time – The Healthy Way of Life office in Louisville, CO and report directly to the VP, Sales & Marketing
