The Assistant Director of Compliance (Compliance Coordinator- Administrative Analyst/Specialist-Exempt I) reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and is a member of the Student-Athlete Resource Center (SARC) within the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance of the bylaws of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), all athletic conference affiliations and institution. This responsibility includes: analyzing and addressing any changes in NCAA bylaws and rules; ensuring accuracy and compliance with NCAA regulations in the processing of grant-in-aid agreement requests, revisions, renewals and cancellations; administering, reviewing, and approving Official Visits related to recruiting, eligibility, practice and playing seasons; and other athletic compliance responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practice, or programs.

Experience:
1. Experience performing compliance-related duties
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
2. Knowledge of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and compliance issues
3. Ability to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations
4. Knowledge of financial aid (e.g. scholarships, grants)
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships (e.g. with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and the community) in a diverse environment
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Ability to make presentations
8. Ability to analyze and address problems using reasoning and the interpretation and application of theories and principles to develop and recommend alternatives and best courses of action
9. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively multitask in a busy environment
10. Strong computer skills with proficiency using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
11. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
12. Ability to understand the demands of an athletic environment and to ensure institutional compliance to specific rules and regulations (e.g. NCAA, Big Sky Conference)
Preferred Qualifications
14. Bachelor's degree in higher education, sports management, business administration, law or related field
15. Experience working with NCAA rules and compliance issues
16. Working knowledge of NCAA Compliance Assistant internet (CA), Athletics Compliance Solution (ACS), and PeopleSoft
17. Experience working with NCAA rules surrounding financial aid
Additional Salary Information: Salary and Hours HOURS: MON-FRI 8AM-5PM with occasional need for work outside of these hours. Recruitment Salary Range: $3,897-$4,014/mo. Classification Salary Range: $3,897-$6,142/mo.
