The University of Texas of the Permian Basin seeks an energetic and creative professional to plan and conduct the Athletic Department’s marketing, promotions, and community relations activities.
Duties:
Plan and execute social media campaigns, including concept development, initiation, and evaluation of their effectiveness.
Assist with implementation of season ticket campaigns and single game sales including developing media plan to include the design of ticket print materials, television and radio spots.
Develop print advertisements, schedule cards, posters and other marketing materials for the department.
Develop and implement strategies to increase levels of student involvement. Including, but not limited to, appearing at student group meetings, orientation, working closely with Student Government, Recreational Sports, Student Affairs and Residence Life to provide activities for students in conjunction with athletic events.
Plan, conduct, and evaluate effectiveness of game-day promotional and entertainment activities
Responsible for oversight and management of marketing budgets.
Work with coaches to coordinate, promote, and record community service activities.
Securing speakers to address athletes and coaches on NCAA/Institutionally-approved topics and publicizing the presentations.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
UTPB supports 16 intercollegiate sports, participates in NCAA Division II, and is a member of the Lone Star Conference.

A Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or public relations, two years of successful experience in marketing, promotions (preferably in athletics), AND previous experience coordinating special events, OR any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education is required.
