Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Head Women’s Swimming Coach/Aquatics Supervisor has the primary responsibility for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of the Women’s Swimming program and other aquatics activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: recruitment and retention of student-athletes; scheduling; fund raising; travel arrangements; budget; aquatics scheduling and programming; and performing related work as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This position requires a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours. Travel is also required.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; American Red Cross or equivalent Lifeguard Certification; and two years of collegiate coaching experience, as well as demonstrated skills in developing and motivating student athletes for athletic, academic and personal success is required. Current Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certificate is required or must obtain the CPO within six (6) months of hire date. Master’s degree is preferred. Candidate must possess effective communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
