The University of Alabama Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is soliciting applications from qualified individuals for an Associate Director, Athletic Ticket Office. The Associate Director is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Athletic Ticket Office to ensure efficient operations, accountability, customer service and oversight and management of all computer operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for management control of all tickets and accounting functions for Women’s Basketball, Gymnastics, and Baseball. This position will also assist with Football ticket elements, have game day responsibilities and assist in various project management. This position will manage all ticketing aspects for assigned sports to include ticket allocation, seat changes, set up, ticket printing, and shipping of tickets. Oversee shipment of all season tickets. Monitor the processing of lost tickets. Responsible for managing the daily operation of the Athletic Ticket Office. Serve as the Director in his/her absence. Train full-time and part-time staff. Supervise and schedule full-time and student ticket office personnel to include event schedules. Assist the Director in developing and implementing policies and procedures for the Ticket Office. Serves as first line of supervision beyond clerical assistance to handle any issues that may arise. Ensure that staff is providing high quality customer service via telephone and walk-in customers. Other duties assigned by the Director and Associate Athletic Director. Works events with duties including supervision of staff and making decisions in the absence of the Director. Serves as Ticket Office liaison with Development, Marketing, Event Management, Media Relations in maintaining the role of the Ticket Office to the planning, execution and follow up of Athletic events and programming.
Oversight and management of all computer operations within the Athletic Ticket Office to include Spectra (ticketing software), e.Venue (online ticket system), point of sale (Pac 7) ticketing for all sports, Access Management (bar code reading system), Stubhub, Experience, Email marketing (Fan One), loyalty program (Fan Maker), Givex (loaded ticket software) and any software added. This involves setup and maintenance of programs, serving as liaison to users; generating customized reports, troubleshooting etc

Required minimum qualifications are a Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in a business office environment to include customer service, supervisory experience, and ticketing experience. Excellent communication skills; strong organizational skills; working knowledge of personal computers and standard software packages; strong interpersonal skills; problem solving skills; and ability to work overtime on evenings and weekends when needed.
Degree in business, management, or other closely related field is preferred. Master's degree preferred. Paciolan ticketing software experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience in a Division I ticket office environment preferred.
Occasional travel. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier. All final candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation.
