Nebraska Wesleyan University (NWU) is seeking candidates for a 10-month full-time, benefit eligible position to work as the Assistant Soccer Coach and Assistant to the Athletic Director. As the Assistant Soccer Coach, the incumbent will assist the head coach with all phases of administering the Men’s and Women’s Division III soccer programs. As the Assistant to the Athletic Director, the incumbent will be responsible for staging all home athletic events, assist with special events and rentals from November 15 to May 31. Specific Responsibilities:
NWU Soccer Assistant Soccer Coach Assist the head coach with all phases of administering the Men’s and Women’s Division III soccer programs.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Coordinate all recruiting efforts with prospective student-athletes: attend recruiting events, recruit evaluation, emails/mailings/phone calls, on campus visits. Provide recruiting reports for both the Head Coach and Admissions Office.
• Work with our strength and conditioning staff to develop soccer SAQ curriculum.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of daily practice sessions for both the Men’s and Women’s soccer programs.
• Build and provide individualized development plans for student-athletes which foster growth athletically, academically, and socially.
• Coordinate all game day activities.
• Video editing – utilize our film software to provide tactical feedback and present to position groups, as well as break down opposition for scouting.
• Administrative support including; scheduling, expense reporting, budget management, equipment inventory & identification/ordering, membership maintenance.
• Assist in the coordination of summer camps and clinics.
• Assist in the coordination of all fundraising activities.
• Coordinate alumni outreach.
• Assist in the development and delivery of the NWU soccer leadership curriculum, and insure that short and long term objectives are in line with program standards and values.
Assistant to the Athletic Director
• Coordinates all home athletic events. Responsible for the planning, administering, coordinating, and evaluating the operations for staging all home athletic events including but not limited to: recruiting student employees, training, and supervision and evaluating all undergraduate staff - Nov 15 to May 31.
• Assist with the coordination, supervision, and training of student employee personnel working in the Weary Center.
• Assist with the supervision of special events and fundraisers Nov 15-May 31.
• Assist the Athletic Director with enforcement of all risk management policies and procedures for all areas of safety and security concerns as they pertain to activities in the Weary Center, Abel stadium, and Taylor Commons.
• Performs duties of the Athletic Director in the area of facilities management as assigned when the Athletic Director in absent from campus.

Successful candidates will have:
· Bachelor's degree; USSF, NSCAA or equivalent certification
· Related experience coaching soccer at the college or elite level clubs
· Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of coaching student-athletes and a commitment to the highest ideals of leadership, sportsmanship and academics
· Ability to coach and recruit highly skilled student-athletes
· Demonstrated interpersonal skills and success in working with a variety of persons that will build strong, long-term relationships with team members, students and stakeholders.
· Must be able to multitask and manage several projects that may be ongoing during the same time.
· Have exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to produce complete and accurate work and manage production activities.
· Demonstrated critical thinking, time management, and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
· Be able to work with minimum supervision and handle pressure situations.
· Be flexible, able to prioritize tasks and meet scheduled and unscheduled deadlines.
