Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
Under the direction of the VP Services, the incumbent is responsible for managing the near and mid-term activities, strategies, and policies of a national sales function for THD s exterior and interior in-home sales programs. Incumbent will assess and develop interior and exterior sales strategies such as store connectivity, store generated leads, self-generated leads, net sales per appointment issued, close rate, and customer experience. This is to be accomplished using measurement tools, technology, performance management programs, recognition, learning, and software that build selling competencies. In addition to direct selling, the incumbent will create and implement lead generation strategies tied to existing in-home customer contacts such as cross-selling, store penetration, in-store lead generation. Identifies I.T. investments needed to ensure selling model is leading edge and incorporates the customer experience, sales learning, and internal business process such as document management and customer support center interfaces. Effectively partners with Operations, Customer Experience teams, Contact Centers, Consumer Insight teams, Marketing, Merchandising, HR, Learning & Development, Compensation, and Finance.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
40% - Leads strategy for field initiatives that drive sales performance and improves top and bottom line growth (ex. Branch P&L improvement opportunities, expense controls, and sales related operating margin improvement.)
20% -Identifies investment needs and leverages technology such as SalesForce.com to manage lead flow metrics, performance, and integration of dashboards to provide field leaders with the performance data necessary to quickly target improvement action plans. Ensures needs and investments are planned and driven through strategic road map.
15% - Grows existing sales through store connectivity, merchandising partnerships, cross-selling skill building, linking sales deficiencies with learning programs, building associate knowledge base of the different product programs, and delivers on sales growth targets through these efforts consistent with the Company's interconnected experience
15% - Drives lead generation programs through the Company s 1,980 retail stores, national 3rd party sources, and In-store promoter teams to ensure lead flow shows YOY growth and meets demand for sales plan.
10% - Owns the digital sales platform and selling content through partnership with marketing, learning & development, and the operations teams to provide the sales force in each business leading edge in-home sales experience tools with up-to-date content selling capabilities.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to Vice President, Services.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:12 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

• SalesForce experience
• Outside Sales 100% commission sales force experience or highly leveraged sales force experience
• National B2C home improvement sales experience with install experience preferred
• Learning & Development experience
• P&L experience
• Strong influencing and motivational skills
