Job Description
The Director, Field Commercial Sales is responsible for leading the Commercial Sales business to business channel of the Automotive
business unit. This role is responsible for developing and executing new strategies to grow the business while serving existing
customers in a manner that drives a business relationship that provides long-term value to the Automotive Business Unit.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Provides high performance leadership of Commercial Account Managers that develop new commercial accounts while working
with the Sears Auto Centers to service existing customers.
• Responsible for achieving sales and profit plan results
• Partners, leads and develops new strategies to grow National, Regional and Local commercial business including fleet and dealer
programs
• Maintains and improves relationships with existing core commercial customers and drives revenue and profitability improvement
• Maintains and improves margins and service income by managing pricing and discount programs
• Partners with merchants, inventory management, marketing, and service organizations to maximize sales and profits on a store by
store basis and customer by customer basis
• Partners with Merchandise and Inventory team to facilitate sell-through of exiting product(s)
• Works with Information Technology (IT) and Systems teams to develop Point Of Sale to support partnership and growth
opportunities with National Accounts
• Partners with Region and District leaders on coordinating merchandise and service needs related to the Commercial Automotive
Business
• Performs a leadership role in the automotive business by developing and executing strategies for the business with the Leadership
Team
• Partners with Sears Credit Team to support Commercial Billing Manager and external credit partners
• Partner with internal executive leaders to create alignment with their strategies and goals
• Develop solutions for clientele, demonstrating knowledge of industry and exceptional presentation skills
• Build and develop a high-performing team by establishing a professional, positive and supportive environment which creates
accountability, quality outcomes, and future leadership roles
• Performs supervisory responsibilities, including, but not limited to: making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting,
demoting, and terminating; conducting performance appraisals; and coaching and developing associates
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors Degree
• 5-10 years of related experience
• Valid Driver License for the State of employment
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Experience managing a remote workforce
• Marketing experience to include development of sales presentations, guerilla marketing and business to business
• Proactive, engaging and collaborative leader who will challenge his/her organization and energize, motivate and develop a high
performing sales team
• High level of initiative and energy with demonstrated ability to generate results
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and instinct for revenue-generating opportunities
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Commercial Sales or Automotive industry experience; preferably a combination of both
• Extensive working knowledge of Sears Automotive Point of Sale and Automotive Operations
• Experience working effectively with cross-enterprise teams
• Up to 50% travel
• 18 years of age or older
