This role provides interaction with the Chief Stores Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Directors of Stores, and Regional Vice Presidents. The ideal candidate will thrive in fast paced environments and enjoy solving complex problems.
The Sr. Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for the Stores organization is responsible for the cultivation of strong cross functional relationships with stakeholders as well as the delivery of relevant and actionable financial insights, analysis and recommendations. By leveraging a thorough understanding of the organization’s historical financial performance and insight into the implications of forecasts and strategic initiatives, this position will provide critical decision support regarding meaningful projects, remediation of business challenges and processes improvements. Our focus is to provide insightful analysis to our store partners, align operational activities to financial performance and help drive profitable sales. The Sr. Director is responsible for driving store profitability and leading finance initiatives for the Store Finance team.
Essential Functions:
• Lead the stores sales planning and forecasting process ($3.5B in revenue), including forecasting daily sales by-store with a high degree of accuracy to drive staffing positioning decisions
• Maintain financial models to analyze sales trending / builds, competitor incursions, Real Estate & Merch investments, other initiative impacts, halo/cannibalization impacts, the influence of digital growth on stores
• Lead development and maintenance of expense forecasting models / reports for the stores organization P&L – largest being store payroll ($500M expense) – focus with Store Operations partners to drive accurate store payroll forecasting & long-term vision to ensure financial targets are met
• Act as budgeting leader for store expense - includes developing expense guidelines, assessing business submissions, creating budget bridges, building manager plan review decks, and finalizing annual budgets
• Business decision support lead for Senior Leader functional areas including our Store field leaders, Real Estate, Store Operations & Asset Protection
• Take large data sets and synthesize into consumable analyses / recommendations to implement in our stores organization.
• Lead with courage and propose, testing opportunities that make sense based on data analysis and operational learnings. Own the follow-up and hold business partners accountable for what they committed to.
• Responsible for the coaching, mentoring and professional development of team members. Sr. Director must be able to create a work environment rich with diversity of thought, challenging deliverables, and opportunities for associates to leverage strengths to achieve strategic outcomes
• Ensure the delivery of weekly, monthly and quarterly executive reporting including but not limited to Monday package, monthly store operations performance reporting, corporate goals reporting and other ad-hoc reporting requests
• Identify and drive process improvements within the Store Finance department, including but not limited to report reduction, process automation, improved use of technology, improved communication and documentation of key assumptions
• As key member of most strategic initiatives, responsible for providing financial support related to feasibility analysis, ROI, NPV, business case development, and ensuring soundness of process used to derive financial results from projects.

Minimum Education & Experience:
• Four Year Degree, Finance or Business, MBA preferred
• Ten or more years Financial Analysis experience with a proven track record of career growth, preferably in Store Finance or FP&A (retail experience preferred)
• Five or more years of people management experience required

• MBA Preferred
