Job Description
Purpose:
Responsible to provide clear communication and execution for the company’s broader goals through effective leadership of store team to: deliver profitable store contribution, exceed member expectations, lead effective change and develop leadership capabilities.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Accountable for delivering profitable contribution through: executing sales initiatives, gross margin maximization , and optimizing expense controls
• Responsible for creating and successfully achieving local store profit plan, by initiating local opportunities that are customized to their community to drive additional sales while improving margin and expense control.
• Achieves delivery of a "WOW" member experiences within their store, by focusing on understanding members' specific needs. Provides our members with a simplified way to live their life better by offering the right products and services. Become a Sears Holdings brand ambassador within the community to ensure our members’ needs are met and improve trade market share.
• Utilizes and develop plans to both meet and exceed the needs of our Shop Your Way members.
• Accountable for creating a high performing selling culture throughout their store. Holds store team accountable for driving a selling experience that leverages the use of integrated retail capabilities. Proactively implements action plans that will close gaps in performance across the consultative salesforce.
• Guarantees retail excellence through consistent execution of all retail core processes and store standards procedures. Utilizes available reporting to identify opportunities for improvement in store operations, shrink control and operating profit.
Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements
Job Duties/Responsibilities(contd.):
• Validates that all initiatives and processes are in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Assures that all store associates optimize Shop Your Way, credit, leasing, layaway and across all Integrated Retail channels, including merchandise service and protection agreements.
• Serves as a champion of social/digital technologies to build internal and external networks; remains on the cutting edge of the application from new technology to better enable work processes and solutions; educates store teams on the value of new technology.
• Leader for attracting, selecting, developing, and retaining strong store talent that improves stores performance. This includes, but is not limited to making employment decisions, conducting performance appraisals and developing succession plan for all key store positions.
• Cultivates a high performing team through ongoing performance management. Partners with the District General Manager and store leadership team to identify and develop high potential internal leaders of the future.
• Creates a work environment that fosters open communication, encourages feedback from within their store team, and reacts to suggestions in a timely and as needed confidential manner.
• Courageous leadership to provide proactive upward feedback while providing improved action oriented solutions including, but not limited to product life cycling, assortment, pricing, inventory flow, marketing support, transition/exit strategies.
Job Requirements:
• Extensive knowledge of store merchandising, operations, and retail management practices and procedures
• Knowledge of financial operations and processes; analytical skills to diagnose root cause and implement solutions.
• Leadership skills in selecting, assessing, coaching, and developing store talent. Excellent team building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to develop and maintain strong partnerships internally and externally.
• Effective communication skills and ability to influence others and lead change; interpersonal savvy.
• Proven ability to manage and mentor store associates, lead and influence cross-functional working groups to achieve expected results.
• Strong technological aptitude; knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite and current technological trends.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and skill in identifying root cause and making data-driven decisions.
• Creative and energy driven for personal success.
• Experience in managing merchandising activities.
