Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to increase sales and improve EBITDA by reducing loss and maintaining investigative integrity. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
1. Communicate clearly and concisely at all levels of the organization to ensure execution of asset protection strategies to reduce loss and champion change.
2. Ensure integrity of all investigations, reducing civil liability and ensuring core values are protected.
3. Collaborate with Regional and District Partners to foster team work and drive productivity.
4. Consistently role model a customer centric culture to ensure we are delighting customers’ everyday on every visit.
5. Develop strategies to drive business and reduce shrink.
6. Monitor and respond to expense, exception and management reports to identify anomalies and improve EBITDA.
7. Develop and detail special projects as needed for investigations that identify fraud, theft or policy violations.
This position directly supervises Asset Protection District Managers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Rite Aid policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, directing, rewarding, and disciplining associates; appraising associate performance; and resolving complaints.

• Typing speed of 40 WPM.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
Education
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Criminal Justice, Business or related field, plus ten (10) years' experience in Retail Loss Prevention; or equivalent combination of education and experience. In addition, the associate must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and project management skills as well as a performance orientation.
