The Director, Online Analytics & Testing is responsible for the global analytics and data infrastructure team to drive data insights across all aspects of retail performance for our business. This role will also drive the vision and strategy of our site optimization teams across multiple platforms. The Director sets the strategy and leads the team of technical experts, which may include an offshore analytics team, that leverage deep expertise in statistical and quantitative analysis. In addition to managing the daily operations of the team, the position delivers consulting services, such as presenting key findings and translating insights into actionable decisions that can maximize revenue potentials.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
• 20% Lead advanced analytics organization to provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams (Product Management, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Technology) and develop cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of the business to promote growth and business development
• 20% - Lead efforts to build a stronger data-driven culture and drive growth through innovative strategies and meticulous execution. Drive a culture of continuous testing, leading efforts to run AB and multivariate experiments
• 20% - Hire, manage, mentor and grow the analytics team on tools, approaches, and how to reach clear, actionable recommendations
• 10% - Work with application and data engineers to develop, implement and optimize data management processes to design self-serve reporting & analytics solutions using all available tools (Tableau, Google Analytics, custom reporting, Omniture etc.)
• 10% - Partner with marketing to drive direct mail, email, paid search, and social media targeting
• 10% - Join forces with product management to help identify and prioritize future site features and measure project outcomes
• 5% - Collaborate with merchants to bring an algorithmic approach to product insights and site merchandising strategies
• 5% - Build a better data infrastructure and develop the architecture to collect and link raw customer data across the site and devices

Environment:
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience:8 years
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Experience with WCS preferred
Experience with Endeca preferred
5 plus years working in an online technical environment with responsibility for the management of technology platforms
Deep knowledge of personalization and content generation via vehicles including email and shopping cart
Previous experience with online content management systems
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Experience in item level data and taxonomy in driving online experience
Ability to design strategic solutions and think creatively to evolve the current application environment
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex issues and prioritize into near-term vs. long-term solutions
Proven experience in design and delivery of complex, multi-faceted technical solutions
