Summary
• Sr Creative Director
The Sr. Creative Director performs all tasks related to graphic design and management in support of Integrated Marketing Services efforts. Responsible for directing the creative vision for the business and strategic planning, partnering with account leaders in strategic thinking to define project assignments, and develop and execute creative solutions. Manage creative standards both art and copy while overseeing multiple creative teams.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Duty
Team Leadership
• Develop the team’s knowledge and understanding of the Client’s business, marketing needs, and situations while reviewing and guiding team members to produce the highest quality creative output
• Develop and assess individual team member’s technical skills, professional techniques, training needs, and professional growth while completing assigned projects by the deadline.
• Assign projects to achieve achievable workload balance, effective challenges for each team member’s skill level, motivation, and career development
Business Management
• Establish, manage, and maintain the creative direction and goals for specific projects ensuring they fit the Client, the brand, and the business objectives
• Meet regularly with VP to help raise standards, and continuously improve and perfect the creative output
• Oversee assigned projects and new business opportunities ensuring they are the best demonstration of the agency’s capabilities
• Manage fiscal job budgets and utilization of all team members to prepare reports as needed
• Responsible for meeting project deadlines
Department Processes
• Monitor and adjust department processes as needed to ensure cohesive work flow
• Assess, monitor, and improve processes within the creative department 50
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
• Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
• May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
• Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.
• Travel up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required) High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
(Preferred) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Advertising, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism or equivalent applicable work experience in related field/industry
• 12+ years of experience in the industry with at least 5 years in the arena of sales promotions and 5 years consumer product, media, or agency experience. Should at least have 5 years of management experience
• CD should have experience managing copywriters or directing art/design (advertising, promotion, and interactive media)
• Should be proficient at working with creative professionals such as copywriters, vendors, freelancers, as well as account counterparts

• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
• Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
• Strong prioritization skills
• Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadline
• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
• Ability to efficiently utilize MAC computers and current fluency in relevant computer programs such as: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, QuarkXPress, Acrobat, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Entourage)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to make oral presentations
Environmental & Physical Requirements
Office / Sedentary Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
