Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.
The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP. Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.
The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Position Overview:
The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for providing vision, leadership, planning, and execution of the Talent Acquisition strategy for the organization while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs. The Director of Talent Acquisition will build and scale the talent acquisition team with areas of specialty to meet the aggressive growth trajectory of the organization. This individual will enhance internal processes and systems, leverage market insight to drive employer branding initiatives in multiple geographies, and partner closely with senior leadership to plan and execute innovative organizational growth strategies. This role requires a leader who can see, evaluate and improve the Talent Acquisition function at both the strategic and operational levels. The role will work in close collaboration with key executives to develop best in class hiring processes and assist with building exceptional talent. This position reports to the Senior Director of Talent Management and is located in the Brentwood, TN corporate office.
Key Responsibilities Include:
This role will oversee a team of four to six recruiters and coordinators and be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring the recruitment team while building creative sourcing techniques to develop a pipeline of talent to meet evolving hiring needs.
• Set the vision, strategy and goals for Talent Acquisition; lead and develop the recruiting team; drive a high level of performance against ambitious hiring plans while maximizing efficiency and effectiveness
• Serve as the strategic talent advisor to the executive team and management, providing insight and direction to ensure the attraction of top talent to the organization; collaborate with compensation, HR business partners, finance and other business/functional areas to support recruitment needs
• Lead a cohesive recruiting operation to attract top-tier diverse talent across all functional areas and in all geographic locations with laser focus on employer branding, sourcing, social media, employee referral programs, back and front end systems/tools and vendor management (e.g. third party search firms)
• Employment Brand: Define our company as an employer of choice for all our key talent segments and then build, design and drive a strategy to institutionalize the core message over social media and other platforms to ensure strong company brand
• Design, implement and maintain appropriate processes, tools, systems and training necessary to scale and support the function while ensuring staffing activity is meeting and exceeding business needs
• Own candidate experience and actively coach the recruiting team to partner with Hiring Managers to create an exceptional client and candidate experience
• Execute effective local, regional and national sourcing strategies to assure the acquisition of a diverse pool of qualified prospects while ensuring that recruiting practices are compliant with organizational policies and other regulatory requirements (EEOC, OFFCCP)
• Lead recruitment initiatives to support organizational goals such as expansions, reorganizations, and restructurings; design creative sourcing strategies for niche talent
• Proactively develops candidate pipelines through a variety of sourcing methods, including social media, headhunting, community relations, industry contacts and educational institutions
• Establish meaningful talent acquisition metrics and mechanisms for regularly analyzing outcomes and applying insights to improve performance
Requirements – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Experience leading a talent acquisition team in an environment of transformation and change
• Able to drive talent acquisition in line with a broader overall talent management strategy on an enterprise level that supports aggressive business growth in a competitive market
• Knowledge in development of recruiting processes, procedures, and creative sourcing strategies, as well as the implementation and management of talent acquisition systems
• Previous success with introducing, implementing, and sustaining key Talent Acquisition initiatives and showing direct, positive linkages to achievement of the business strategy
• Expertise developing and deploying a compelling employment brand through multiple channels, including the strategic use of social media to deliver a superior talent acquisition brand Recruitment experience including high volume activity & tight deadlines with a proven, quantifiable recruitment track record
• Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to effectively interact with all levels of management and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to establish trust, respect, competence and confidence
• Experience with employment branding, innovative sourcing strategies, and building robust pipeline of diverse talent
• Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to generate out-of-the-box solutions, manage uncertainty and anticipate the impact of decisions/initiatives
• Demonstrated project management skills, including measurement, reporting and ability to juggle multiple high priority projects in a continuously changing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and demonstrated strong relationship-building and team leadership skills
• Experience developing and managing an annual budget, metrics, and key performance goals
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or other related discipline; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of progressive talent acquisition leadership expertise within a growth oriented, matrixed organization
• 3+ years of experience in recruitment marketing, employment branding, and/or talent acquisition operations and
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Executive presence; ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment
• Merger and acquisition experience a plus
• Experience in Oil & Gas or Energy sector is strongly preferred
