ABOUT THE JOB
Lead the competence development of warehousing logistics, within the DS Area organization, resulting in an increased level of performance and “excellence” in our running operations every day
Lead the development of the INGKA fulfillment units concept and support the development of the Inter IKEA one in cooperation with Global Warehousing Logistics
Contribute to Multichannel Network (MCN) projects through Logistic & WMS design and Operational processes expertise
• Lead activities to increase efficiency of the Distribution Units (DC/CDCs, Parcel Units) within the Distribution Services (DS) Area (i.e. reduce costs, improve productivity, quality and out-delivery performance) with the total supply chain and customer in focus for all DC/CDC/Parcel Units flows within given frame (DS Operations and Area Business Plans, DNCP, and Distribution Strategies, global warehousing concept, etc.)
• Support the development of needed competencies within fulfilment Units, through technical support, mentoring/coaching and Competence Groups leadership
• Secure that warehousing process/concepts in the fulfilment Units are implemented
• Build a structure for internal and external benchmarking and secure that is in place and followed.
• Drive innovation in logistic supporting excellence in operation.
• Be an active participant with In Warehousing Logistics Matrix or any Global Operational Forum to contribute to further development of the IKEA warehousing concepts and Standard Operational Processes (SOP) in Distribution.
• Support Multichannel Transformation Program through project contribution linked to Warehousing, Operation and WMS
• Lead local matrix meetings for the warehouse operations and operations support functions and a group of In Warehouse Logistics Specialist and WMS Responsible and WMS specialist coordinators in the DS area.
• Support the local DS Area / market BP activities
• Offer and support in the regional establishment projects the possibility of having verification meetings
• Logistic Processes and supply chain expertise
• Solid market /industry knowledge in storage and handling
• WMS general knowledge
• Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc…)
• University degree in Logistics/Engineering and/or 4 to 6 years working experience in a management position (preferable in distribution , operations/systems and DC unit level manager experience)
• Has proven and demonstrated competence/understanding of IKEA Warehousing concepts and processes to increase efficiency
• Proven analytical skills and ability to understand different complex scenarios
• Ability to develop and communicate strategic approaches
• Strong communicative skills and ability to develop relationships
• Ability to work with/lead senior specialists and leaders in different locations, have an intercultural awareness and interest
• Ability to lead, develop and inspire an organization in a fast changing environment and navigate many uncertainties
• Capability to get things done, with the desire to question current ways of working and to strive for quick, lean and simple solutions
