Requirements
Job Title: Creative Director, Musician's Friend
Responsible for evolving and ultimately defining the brand voice of Musician's Friend, the Creative Director will drive the creative expression of our brand across digital, print and video. The ability to see the full 360 view of the brand is imperative. You will lead campaign photography, videography, copy, art direction and design across all consumer touchpoints. This is a hands-on role responsible for addressing the needs of omni-channel marketing, digital/ecommerce efforts and the production of our print catalogs.
Specialization in cross-channel and integrated media landscapes across print and e-commerce is a must, as well as strong portfolio that shows both creative and business acumen.
Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:
• Take the creative helm of the Musician's Friend brand
• Lead, mentor, inspire and oversee team of omni channel art directors and designers
• Build engaging and on-brand integrated marketing experiences for our customers
• Mentor and direct team of photographers and designers to create compelling campaign concepts
• Provide inspiration, refine designs and lend a critical eye to all aspects of brand creative
• Lead creative concept and strategic planning meetings
• Responsible for building and adhering to the MF Brand Guidelines
• Ensure photo brand standards, design and copywriting are consistent across all touch points
• Lead continuous improvement of workflow to maximize capacity, increase efficiency and ensure teams are properly following process and procedure
• Maintain department priorities and thrive in a deadline driven environment
• Work with Ecomm and Marketing team to craft compelling brand campaigns rooted in strategy and marketing briefs
• Collaborate with our partner teams to develop seasonal and promotional campaigns
• Develop creative concepts rooted in consumer and brand truths that build the brand's business
• Strong attention to detail and results oriented is a must
• Experience working with loyalty programs
• Ecommerce experience is a must
• Some accountability on the creative for the Wood Wind Brass Wind brand as well (creative, catalog layout & production)
• Must be capable of directing comprehensive photo-shoots, photo-retouching and campaign development
• Collaboration is key!
To join our band you'll need the following experience:
• 8+ years relevant experience
• Updated portfolio demonstrating technical and creative skills and experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiar with the changing landscape of digital, emerging trends, technology and digital tactics
• Understanding of user-centered design including UI/UX/IA practices and design methods
• Experience building prototypes, wireframes, test-sites etc.
• Experience creating online content in various forms and levels of technicality
• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile best practices
• Experience with web languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Self-starter, motivated, capable of managing multiple projects at once
• Collaborative, a strong communicator and team player
• A leader who can rally the troops to be curious and have fun
• Deadline-driven is a must
• Proficient working with Project Management applications
