Directly, and through our subsidiaries, Omnicare provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare environment. While senior care has been an Omnicare specialty, we also serve other targeted populations.
Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and energizing environment? This position presents you with an opportunity to work in such an environment. As a Billing Specialist for Med Care Pharmacy, you will be responsible for insurance billing and management of patient and facility accounts.
Primary Responsibilities In this role
• You prepare monthly statements for facility and patient accounts
• You access patient accounts for correct prescription insurance information
You resolve any patient/family questions or concerns, and reviewing accounts for accuracy while establishing a high level of communication with the billing staff at assigned facilities.
Required Qualifications
• Typically has 0-2 years pharmacy billing experience
• Typically has 0-2 years working in an office setting
• Basic knowledge of insurance procedures
Preferred Qualifications
• Healthcare industry experience
• 1-3 years of pharmacy billing experience
• 1-3 years of experience working in and office setting
Education
• High School Diploma of equivalent
