POSITION SUMMARY
Summary:This position is responsible for managing the paid search programs for both Spencer and Spirit websites. In conjunction with the Sr. Manager eCommerce Marketing and our third party vendor, this individual will manage the day to day performance of all paid search activities including PPC and Retargeting across all formats and search engines. This position will be managing our third party vendors to provide sound and strategic direction, insights and reporting. This individual will have a keen understanding of search engine result pages (SERP’s) and the interplay between organic and paid channels. Experience and familiarity with keyword research tools, Google trends and the functionality/role of feeds and feed management are important. The PPC analyst will monitor budgets and adjust strategy according to the needs of the business. This role is a high profile partner that will assist in the continued stewardship of a best-in-class PPC program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• In conjunction with their Sr. Manager, responsible for the strategic development and management of the PPC channel that will drive traffic, conversion, revenue growth and profitability for e-Commerce.
• Works closely with IT/e-Com Operations, Marketing and Merchandising to build, support and insure accuracy across the PLA feeds.
• Effectively and in a timely manner report PPC results, trends and best practices.
• Manage third party relationships and drive for results.
• Works closely with Content and Merchandising teams to build campaigns, support licenses and conduct keyword research.
• Relentlessly monitors Google & Bing, forums and research to understand PPC best practices for long term growth and success.
• Identifies and partners with IT/Operations to solve technical opportunities to enhance PLA page metrics and experience.
• In conjunction with their Sr. Manager, responsible for review of bid management and audience segments.
• Identifies opportunities to improve guest experience and works with e-Commerce team to improve conversion and UX.
• Remains current on all trends in the PPC environment, in particular Google, to be ahead of potential changes to SERP.
• Partners with all marketing channels to maximize opportunities.
• Supports in the management of costs, spend trends and understand ROI for the channel.
• Support, as needed, other e-Commerce marketing initiatives as requested including SEO, Paid Social,A/B testing, UX team, Email and Promotion team as well Content and Analytics.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of: MS Suite including Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analtyic, AdGooroo).
• Experience with Monetate, Site Manager a plus.
• Google Adwords Certification a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to see the big picture.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as team member.
• Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Strong planning and problem solving skills.
