Job Description
The Director Targeted Digital is responsible for managing Online Display across various Sears & Kmart business units and driving growth of revenue and visits through the paid retargeting channel. Collaborating with internal and external teams and business partners, the advertising manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and optimizing campaigns and programs to drive positive ROI and promote brand awareness & engagement both online & offline. Individual should have experience in digital marketing and display media buying and planning.

• Supports the strategy, execution, optimization and measurement of Sears & Kmart Display Retargeting programs on a daily basis to ensure achieving results to plan
• Analyzes and optimally manages millions of dollars of annual marketing spend
• Develops insights and actions to drive positive ROI based on qualitative and quantitative analytics
• Understands and analyzes basic customer preferences and motivators to drive new and innovative member experiences across programs
• Works with campaign management agency in implementing strategy and leading ongoing optimization efforts across Sears and Kmart business units
• Manages and co-develops strategy and implementation for nation-wide and/or geo-local campaigns at the product level to drive revenue and brand awareness
• Works with the research, analytics, and web development group on making improvements to drive profitable performance of the channel online and offline
• Influences innovation & identifies new opportunities by staying up to date with latest marketing trends and technology
• Understanding of algorithmic search engines, big management tools capabilities, and possesses the ability to identify trends and build plans
• Manages relationship with and utilizes the capabilities of bid management platform vendor to ensure the overall performance of the channel is optimized and healthy
• Sets individual and team quarterly and annual goals with business marketing team for paid channel performance, output, operational efficiencies, campaign optimization and marketing process rigor
• Maintains strong communication with internal departments and ensures that program strategies, plans and results are communicated to business unit senior leadership and various marketing teams
• Uses industry best practices and knowledge in the arena of digital marketing to drive greater conversion at lower costs
• Uses available system and manpower resources to optimize the process and performance of digital marketing
• Supports the creation of year-end budget and setting of revenue targets
Background/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years relevant digital marketing experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with bid management software/platform preferred
• Experience in the oversight and management of digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Some experience using site analytics platforms, such as Adobe Analytics (formerly Omniture Site Catalyst), Omniture, Domo and Google Analytics
• Some experience in measuring performance based on different attribution models online & offline, such as Last Touch, Multi Touch & Incrementally
• Data driven marketer with the ability to structure multi-variant data inputs and derive actionable insights for continuous campaign and channel optimization
• Track record of building scalable digital marketing campaign strategies and executing strategies with passion, precision, and excellence
• Creative thinker who can generate innovative ideas and solutions and partner effectively with marketing and other creative teams
• Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Interpersonal and relationship building skills, experience in dealing with multiple and diverse internal stakeholders, and interacting with business and technology partners
