A role in Store Design means the opportunity to apply your innovative and sustainable architectural design and technical expertise. Your work will ultimately help define the physical experience. The interactions and connectivity between the physical, digital and human elements Target develops for our guest, will evolve the brand image in store and ultimately support Target’s business strategies. You'll interpret program and scope details to integrate them with interior and exterior site design and aesthetic for new stores, remodels and innovation projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Director, you will lead the design implementation operations team to ensure design data, resources (internal and external) and schedules are created, maintained, communicated and adhered to for all programs (new stores, remodels, special projects and transitions). In this role, it’s important to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with consultants and key partners across the enterprise to ensure efficiency, quality and total cost of ownership are prioritized appropriately. As a Director, you will be responsible to manage and maintain portions of the store design database, documentation and quality assurance deliverables (i.e. logistics, cadence and training).

About you:
• Four Year College Degree
• 7-10 years relevant experience (retail preferred)
• Experience leading a team; demonstrated ability to develop staff & create bench strength
• Experience developing & implementing a large enterprise wide initiative via store design
• Strategic and innovative (able to take a step back, be creative, push boundaries, prioritize and guide thinking )
• Outstanding communication – both in presenting and the development of content for presentations. Consulting experience beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results quickly
• Strong design point of view; excellent understanding of company’s strategic direction and ability to interpret and communicate senior management direction
• Outstanding ability to present to senior leadership
• Outstanding analytical and strategic problem solving skills
• Highly motivated and committed to the development of high quality work and personal productivity
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects, develop and implement schedules, and prioritize workload
• Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging and constantly changing environment
Desired:
• MBA or other Advanced degree
