Position Summary
The Senior Director of Strategy is a key member of the Icahn Automotive supply chain operations team reporting directly to the Sr. Vice-President of Supply Chain. The position will support other leaders of the Supply Chain organization as well. This position will have 2-3 technical operations team members supporting them to develop, implement and plan all supply chain key initiatives including new technology implementation, retrofits with new technology, new facility start-ups and consolidations as well as planning and maintaining strategic direction of all supply chain initiatives along with the leadership team.
Key experience would be engineering, supply chain operations, project management and IT infrastructure and systems knowledge
Duties & Responsibilities
The Senior Director of Strategy provide technical and functional guidance and program management for all key supply chain projects including development, implementation and planning all supply chain key initiatives including new technology implementation, retrofits with new technology, new facility start-ups and consolidations as well as planning and maintaining strategic direction of all supply chain initiatives along with the leadership team.
• Provides program management support to all key initiatives of new technologies, new Greenfield facilities and consolidations.
• Manage and lead program implementation of all IT programs and processes that impact supply including distribution systems, transportation systems and inventory systems.
• Provides change management guidance, assists with process and equipment validation including but not limited to development, training, documentation and reporting.
• Assists the supply chain team with the building and development of a go forward network configuration, and tiered network design
• Assistance and guidance with space planning and layout design Perform other duties needed to support any part of the business.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field
• 8-12 years post-degree experience in operations, strategy, technology or consulting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Extreme attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality pertaining to sensitive information and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Coordinate the due diligence and coordinate the activities of other external advisors (e.g. legal counsel, auditors, 3rd party contractors) as required by the company;
• Interacting across Finance, IT, HR, Transportation, Legal, and Operations functional areas.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships.
• Accepts ownership of projects and is successful in driving projects, as well as daily tasks, to a successful conclusion.
• Is responsive and sensitive to internal and external deadlines.
• Able to maintain confidentiality AND interact with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
• Highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strategic planning and planning execution
• Minimum travel required -- 50%
