Position Summary
As a Trade Relations Director – Specialty Pharmacy you will be involved in the development and the negotiation of specialty service strategies for CVS Health. You will interact with pharmaceutical manufacturers and medical suppliers for current and pipeline specialty products, with a primary focus around infused drugs.
You will help develop strategies around procurement of product and limited supply arrangements, distribution strategies, and specialty services, such as data services, compliance and persistence programs. You will hold direct account responsibilities for manufacturers.
You will have account responsibilities including the development of manufacturer strategy, account relationship management, direct accountability for cost of goods of the manufacturer, and improvement in the reduction of those cost of goods. You will work to create new opportunities for present specialty services to current and new manufacturers.
You will lead contract negotiations for the specialty division of CVS Health, focusing on the specialty infusion pipelines. You will also have direct responsibility for contract management processes.
This position will be located in Denver, CO or Northbrook, IL.
Additional duties &responsibilities include:
-Providing account management and negotiating directly with manufacturers in the specialty arena.
-Securing access to limited distribution drugs and driving additional margin opportunities.
-Participating in RFP presentations with pharma.
-Working with internal partners to ensure follow through of pharma and medical supplier commitments, such as volume commitments and rebates.
-Working with legal and contracting to ensure successful contracting of contracts.
-Developing and executing negotiation strategy to drive improved profitability and operational efficiencies to ensure delivery of financial goals.
-Leading specific internal trade corporate initiatives that will drive value across specialty.
-Identifying new business possibilities to generate additional margin and collaborate with Specialty UW team.
Required Qualifications
7+ years professional experience in specialty pharmacy, home infusion pharmacy, managed care, or related industry.
3+ years of contract negotiations and successful completion of contracts.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, as needed per business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and problem solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent detail orientation and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint.
Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Will consider High School Diploma/GED plus experience in lieu of degree.
